LOYALTY PROGRAM

Most restaurants have tried some variation of the “Buy 9 and the 10th is free” Punchcard system with varying degrees of success. Or they’ve tried the loyalty system that is comes with their Point of Sale system. Some may even have gone with an additional loyalty system that customers need to log into at the point of sale AFTER making a purchase.

These systems all bring SOME value but come up short when compared with other options.

According to a recent survey of restaurant customers, over half of customers would dine at a restaurant more often if the restaurant offers a loyalty program. Brands like Starbucks, McDonald’s, Moe’s, and Taco Bell launched or expanded their loyalty programs during the pandemic to great success, but what works for a giant national chain doesn’t necessarily work for every restaurant.

POS-based loyalty systems don’t have the ability to reach anyone outside of the four walls of your business. External POS loyalty systems require an extra step in the sales process, don’t reach anyone outside of the four walls and have paltry redemption rates. Custom loyalty apps are expensive have minuscule adoption and use rates.
